Addicted to snoozing

My job requests me to work 8-4:30, give or take fifteen minutes. I always have these grand plans of working 7:15-4:45, to get in 9 hours a day, but I just can't stop snoozing; and always get in right around 8.

I've tried setting the alarm's time ahead to fool me into thinking it's later than it is; putting the alarm halfway across the room; setting an alarm on my cell phone as well; setting my alarm on my cell phone slightly staggered from the main alarm clock; etc.

I set the alarm at 5:30, 5:45, 6:00; whenever, I can't stop snoozing until 7.

Any ideas to get me out of bed, and on with my day?

Same problem here...At least 1 hour a day...I added multiple alarms and even moved the alarm outside my bedroom or placed it in the bathroom...(im a light sleeper with good hearing) but eventually i started turning off all the alarms when the first one would go off...🙁

Maybe, the natural clock for your body isn't ready for you to get up so early. I sleep until 8:00 A.M. - and that's when I perform my best. When I used to use the alarm and wake up at 6:00 A.M., so I could be in the office by 7:00 A.M., I was miserable. It took me a boatload of coffee to get rolling.

What would happen if you were to work 8:30 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.?? Try it, your body might appreciate the change and you might be more alert, too.

Honestly(don't tell anybody), The ONLY rason I go to the gym @ 5am almost every day is so that I will get up in time for work/school

I still get t owork/school 15minutes late...give our take 2 minutes.....WITHING @ MINUTES EVERY DAY

IT DRIVES ME CRAZY..I SET MY CLOCKS BACK BUT I STILL GET THERE AT 15 OR 14 OR 13 OR 17

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Drink lots of caffiene right before you fall alseep. You'll still fall alseep, hopefully, and will be easier to wake up in to morning.

how much time does it take you to get ready? set the alarm to get up with just enough time to get to work by 7. go to the bathroom when you get up. make a phone call. do NOT get back into bed cuz you'll be late. maybe you want to practice doing this and getting in at 8 first? the best thing for me is to only have enough time cuz i dont have time to snooze... convince yourself you gotta leave by whatever time!

No tricks are going to work as long as you know that you can turn over and go back to sleep. My college roommate tried moving the alarm clock across the room to force himself out of bed. All he'd do was get up, hit the button and STILL go bad to sleep. 9 minutes later same thing, then another 9 later same thing. After about a month of that I threw the clock out the window. Snoozers are snoozers, you won't get up until you have to get up. If you want to work an extra hour each day, stay late.
