Anyone else here try Adderall to increase mental focus and prolong study hours (crunch time)? Personally, its a small miracle for me.

No, I don't have a perscription.

No, I am not a junkie, I use controlled doses only infrequently when my differcult work load overwhelmes me.

Anyone else have any experiances with Adderall.

Like anything else, when there is a demand to buy people will find away to make it avalible. I know several people on campus who obtained "perscriptions".

I have used Adderall for several years. It is my only vice really. I don't drink, smoke, over eat. It just that, when you take very differcult classes, its easy to get overwhelmed when 4 exams roll around the same day. No, I am not an addict, and won't be.

A friend of mine in college took it frequently without a prescription. She had a 3.99 GPA in Industrial Engineering.

Personally, I think its just as bad as cheating. But if it works for you, then more power to ya.

I disagree. Grades are about knowing the material and applying it. If the drug helps one shoehorn the information into the brain easier, good for them. Ultimately, whether you learn it with or without, you do learn the material.

My old roomate had a legitimate prescription, but he didnt like them (didn't work well with another prescription he couldnt live without) since the aderall were sort of optional, he decided to sell them instead, often 2 for $25, and he got a free bottle of 50 every month from his medical insurance company. Thats rent + utitilities paid. If he bitched, he could have them send an extra 15-20 near the end of the month.

I know a lot of C students who became A+ students on aderall. I also know they got to a point where they couldnt fucntion without it. Basically they would be depressed and zone out.

They also got to the point where popping the pill wasnt efficient enough, too much of it gets lost to stomach acid. Better to chop it up and snort it. Now your getting into a whole new problem.

I never said I agreed with what he was doing. All the more reason to legalize all drugs, so that theres no room for people to scam others.

Its certainly not people paying insurance. Insurance companies get pills for pennies on the dollar from the medicine manufacturers. This way the insurance companies send them the patients, and the patients stay on the pills. The patients then keep paying for insurance because they need those pills. Everyone wins, except you. Pill companies and insurance companies spend most of the time with their hand in each other's pants.

Thats what I notice most. Vastly improved reading comprehension. I studied VERY carefully the possible sideeffects of Adderall's use. Weightloss and stomach pain seem most common... Think about why this is being made in the first place. It help people with "ADD" focus and learn. People may have ADD to certain to degree and never realize or diagnose it. I am not saying you should ever be your own doctor, just a point.

Anyway, it works for me. Thats not to say it won't affect different people differently. Common sense + Personal responisiblily.

Snorting anything.... is not really a bright idea.

5. Impotence and changes in libido.

Those keep me from trying it.

Experienced hpb, insomnia, restlessness, overstimulation, euphoria, drymouth, decrease in appetite, and difficulty reaching ejaculation.

20 mg XR, makes me highly focused for a good 12 hours.

Dunno, haven't done it in almost a year, but I would do it again if the situation suggested it.

My brother was actually diagnosed (for real) with adult onset ADHD. He was always kind of like that as a kid, but it really had more negative impacts on him as he got older (i.e. high school and college).

Ever since he got on his prescribed Adderall, his grades and study habits improved tremendously. He told me he doesn't like the daze it sometimes put him in and he is rather responsible and doesn't take it during summer or other college vacation days when he can be a bit more crazy. He too told me that if he chose to sell it, he could get anywhere from $10-$20 per each tablet. Luckily he hasn't done that . . . or not that I am aware of.

I think it is a great drug for those that truly and actually have a different brain chemistry than the "normal" and "typical" person, but it is indeed a shame to see a large degree of people abuse it just because they are too lazy to do proper studying.

Nah, go old-school, Ritalin all the way. :p

I actually have ADD though, so I'm not abusing it. I have been known to take an extra dose before a difficult midterm, however.

You have to specify a dosage. $.10 per mg is the generally accepted price around here

so, you are posting about your criminal activity?

you must be new here

Using adderall without a perscription is NOT illegal; posessing it is. No one on these boards, in any way, shape, or form, posesses the drugs spoken about, and all situations described are hypothetical.

Generally, the best thing to do is break the beads (if its XR) and parachute it. 50-60mg is good for a first time. I sure as hell don't use it for school work, though. Amps of any kind don't have the same effect on users who do not have attention issues (I refuse to call it a disease). While concentration is improved and whatnot, time is better spent doing things other than homework.
