hey guys, i seem to be having a wierd problem...
my setup has been running fine for years, until yesterday when I installed two new yate loon 120mm fans. My problem is that it seems to take twice as long to enter windows, and even longer than that to give me an active mouse to use in the desktop [ie, it takes 5 minutes to finish loading mcafee]. Also, when I move the mouse around within windows, after 2 seconds I can notice a lag between where it is and where it should be, then it corrects itself. It seems as if I am running 9000 programs at once, however I have no windows open other than task manager showing me 0% usage. I've error-checked the os disk, ad-aware, virus scan, everything.
I have an s12 600watt so I do not think it is a power issue, and I've only changed two things from my previous setup: the addition of the two yate loons, and lowering the harddrives [3] together, from about 2 inches of space between each other, to about 3/4" as it is now [there was no fan running over any of the three before]. All the fans are running and working.
A side note, I launched ut2004 and was able to play flawlessly with no fps/time lags, but there are still those noticeable "hiccups" in windows when opening folders or even the start menu.
Thanks in advance guys
