I downloaded browser error reporting from the MS software update site. This was when I had Internet Explorer 5.5. I have since upgraded to IE version 6.0.
Under both versions of the browser my frequency of browser problems is MUCH MUCH higher since adding the error reporting feature.
I will get a window asking if I want to report the error. I click on yes. Usually, but not always, the error reporting sequence seems to go to completion. Sometimes I then get a KERNEL32.DLL error. After reporting the kerene32.dll error the browser becomes unstable. The usual problem is that it puts up a new window for Internet Explorer, but doesn't complete the task. Frequently this new IE window can only be deleted by ctrl-alt-del followed by termintate task. Sometimes it can only be deleted by resetting the machine via ctrl-alt-del + ctrl-alt-del. In either case my PC is unusable when this new browser is onscreen, since it is inoperative, can not be moved, and takes up the whole desktop.
Anyone else with this?
Any solutions?
