Added Memory, No monitor Signal

This is an Acer Laptop, but i had 2 x 1gb sticks in it. Got 2 x 2gb sticks to put in it and it wont get monitor signal with them in it. I took one out and it works. Swapped the two new ones and both pieces are good. It wont work with one old and one of the new either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can answer any questions very quickly. Thanks
