Well ever since unlocking XTU on my notebook and adding in a 3740QM and clocking it to 3.9ghz (4 core turbo) I have noticed that I would get throttle when running games due to insufficient power 
There are no adaptors with the correct tip rated higher than 180W, so I did it my way:
Thats an Asus 230W adaptor for the W90 series (actually made by delta electronics). The top adaptor is a 90W acer, the one below is my original 180W unit.
