When they say 5 domains hostable, that means I can host any 5 domains I register on one single account?

Like just for example...

mustang.com
restomod.com
daze.com
owl.com
paper.com

All containing different subjects/material.

Or is it more like Microsoft has...

microsoft.com
support.microsoft.com
ect...

Do all the domains have to be registered to me?

I'm sure they mean completely seperate domains. As in your first example. :) Worse comes to worse, request a refund. :) They're good for it.

these are sub-domains, so xxxxxx.yourdomain.com would be a subdomain, and with "The Plan", you get up to 5 subdomains.
<----has been thinking of switching to AddAction.net

Hmm... well that's not what I wanted to hear. Does anyone have an account with addaction that knows for sure?

If it were subdomains, Id hope they'd put that on their website instead of domains.

you already have myfirstdomain.com
you than purchase seconddomain.com
you want seconddomain.com to be hosted on myfirstdomain.com's webspace.
So what you need to do is create a folder in your public_html and put all the contents of seconddomain in it.
Than you can reach your seconddomain.com by typing in either myseconddomain.myfirstdomain.com or seconddomain.com into the web browser. If you type in seconddomain.com, than it should be transparent to the visitors and they should not know its hosted on myfirstdomain.com

That's how i interpreted it, but always make sure with the company first. dont reply on me

www.globat.com
1 gig webspace
50 gb transfer

$7.50 a month.. only 55c more than addaction. From what I see on their frontpage that is. I just got a space from them, and no I don't work for them, just think it's a good deal.

Thanks guys...

I also just got a VERY FAST response from them, right on!

"Hi,

It is correct that you can host up to 6 domains with our THE PLAN. The 5 domains (besides your main domain) are Addon domains. See for a description: http://addaction.net/esupport/faq.php?_c=7#ans22

All domains have independent content, managed by 1 control panel.

Regards

John"

I assume an addon domain means you can add an addtional domain in your control panel, and it's not a subdomain.

I've always wondered how addon domains work, I should give it a try tonight.

I'll share my experiences here tomorrow after the DNS name servers update.

Nope I just use NameCheap.com as my domain registrar and propogation usually happens in 12 hours sometimes less.

So if I update the DNS name servers at 5PM, when I wake up at 6AM it's done :p
