Hi, on other forums I have visited there is often a "viewed" column next to "replies". This is very helpful if you're not recieving any replies to a post as it lets you know whether people aren't reading or if it's just a difficult problem and no-one has a good enough solution to answer!

Any chance of getting this kind of statistic here?

the reason this forum does not is because of the load that a thread counter creates on the server, we had it enabled for a very short time here, and it bogged the servers down to a crawl. its just the size of these forums they are very large.

Fair enough! If there's ever an economical way (CPU load etc) to turn it back on I think it would be a good addition.

Cheers.

There isn't though...

AnandTech forums have like 5 servers devoted to the forum itself, I don't know how much more you can try to squeeze in there, as it's still going to make the servers just about want to keel over and die...

It's been discussed over and over. It's a wonderful feature, but it's too tedious on the servers, and will never be turned on these forums.
