My father accidentally deleted the printer and faxes icon/wizard from the control panel. How can i restore or reinstall it?

I do not want to reinstall XP. Can i use the windows XP cd just to reinstall the print function?

right click the start menue. click on the start menue tab. click customize. click on properties. click on the advance tab. Under start menue items you will find a check box that will add a printer and fax icone to the start menue. click OK then Apply and your all set. The icon will be right under the control panel icon in the start menue.

I don't see how he could have deleted it. If you try to drag it out of the menue it just creats a shortcut. If you click on it and hit delete it won't do anything.

I had the start menu advance option enabled and he deleted it from the start menu\settings\control panel menu. I want back into the control panel thru explorer and the icon is no longer there.

network setup wizard
Power options
Regional and Language options

Printers and faxes is b/w Power options and Regional and Language options

Click Start > Run and type control printers then click OK.

That should display the Printers and Fax folder with the icon to add a new printer in the taskpane. If it doesn't, you're probably going to have to try to repair/re-install Windows.
