Add .ogg files to a Windows Media Player 11 Library?

I like WMP11 and its integration with Media Center on Vista, but I cant add .ogg files to my library.

Has anyone had any luck doing this?

If you're smart enough to use ogg, then you should be smart enough to realize wmp isn't a good media player. I suggest foobar2000.

That's not really true. WMP is just fine, except that they don't support certain file types for the library. You can get WMP to play ogg just fine. Ogg and ogm, etc... will show up under "Other Media"...but yeah, I understand your fustration.

By your very own definition it's not 'just fine'; there's a better option. Foobar sounds better and offers a great deal more options as well.

I like WMP11. I'm using Vista Beta, do me a favor and install FB2k on Vista Beta. It crashed left and right.

Sidenote: How does a program that follows a windows API so closely crash left and right on Vista?

Anyway, I've been using FB2k since version .666 -- I love foobar but I've been using Media Center w/ WMP11 in Vista lately.. just trying to get it working rather than finding something else. Why beta test a new windows without giving all the new apps a shot?

Thanks for the replies everyone 🙂
