And I ain't fixing it again! Up in Braintree, MA today crusing around bout to head home. Came up to a busy, signaled, 2 lane, 4 way intersection. I was going to go straight, but a driver of the female persuasion thought that she might be able to make a left infront of me before I got to the intersection. She pulled into the intersection a little, causing me to brake a little because I was unsure whether she would stop or try to make it. Unfortunately, as I brake I hit the camoflagued speedbump from hell right before the intersection, giving me the ultimate tankslapper and lose control of the bike. The bike slid on way, and I slid about 3-5 feet until I ended up under her bumper. By the time I had slowed down, I was maybe doing 15-20mph.

Maybe I should thank her for stopping. If she hadn't been there, I would have slid further into more traffic. Instead, I end up with some road rash on me knees AND THATS IT. I was smart enough to keep my upper body off the ground as much as possible. Heck, my jacket never even scaped the road.

And I would have dumped the bike most likely at the intersection anyways. With a bump of this magnitude, it would have been a forgone conclusion. And I would have been going faster to boot. Funny, I stopped by Brockton Cycle Center about an hour before looking at summer riding pants
