I posted this in Networking but realized it prob should go here. Mods please feel free to delete my thread in the Networking section.
Is it pretty simple, ie. insert the drives, boot the server, from the dashboard got to storage and format the drives? Is there something else I'm missing? I'm regretting having to buy HDDs at these prices but I really need to set my server to backup my data and can't hold out much longer. Also, what HDDs do you guys recommend? Right now I have a samsung F3 1tb spinpoint and looking to add maybe 2-6tbs depending on price. How do you guys recommend setting up the drives? I was thinking of using a 2TB drive for backup and the rest for general storage. Can I do this?
