Add Folders

Go to the area you want to add a folder. Right click and pick new folder. Rename it into the folder name you want.
So for your example, you would go to the E drive. Create a new folder and then rename it Program Files.

Then right click the folder, choose create shortcut, and drag it to where you want it.

You can't, I don't think.

Edit: Computer folder is mainly to get users to physical (and now virtual!), networked, and removable storage; drives; and devices.

actually this is quite simple with a built in command to xp. there is a command called subst that will create a virtual drive to a folder that you specify...

basically if you want to have c:\blah as say z: in my computer you would do this:

subst z: c:\blah

that's it

Map a new network drive and point it at your machine:

ie, z:\ \\machinename\c$\program files
