Add cheap PCI video card to get DVI??

I've got an ATI AIW 9600 which has dual VGA outputs. I'm going to buy a Samsung 19" LCD with DVI and VGA inputs. I would really like to use the DVI on the LCD because I want the better video quality. I'm really against replacing the 9600 since I just got it this year and a 9800 will cost me $$$. Can I buy a cheap PCI card with DVI output and run both the ATI and cheap PCI card together? Does it matter if I buy another ATI or can I get NVidia? Hopefully some of you out there have experience with this, I no longer have any PCI cards laying around.

Guess I should add that I use multiple monitors. Right now I have 2 19" CRTs and if this setup works I can leave both CRTs on the ATI and run the LCD off of the PCI card. LCD resolution is 1280x1024 and so are the CRTs so does this mean that I can expand my desktop across all 3 monitors?

Looks like I can get a 64MB ATI 7000, 128MB 9200SE, or NVidia 64MB MX4000 for $40-$50. Any recommendations (if this setup is possible)?

Thanks,
E

do you game at all? If you want to run games on the LCD thats connected to the PCI card then they will either not run or be very slow, IMO its not worth it. Just stick with VGA until you are going to get a better video card.
