I second the motion.
Would be great to quote tweets and such.
Forum feature upgrades are an appreciable quality of life change.

Are tweets still not embedded? I'm not seeing them but it could be one of my browser add-ons. All I see are links.

If they're not currently embedded can you add that feature pretty please? P&N has a ton and it's impossible to follow a conversation without clicking links. I refuse to click 99% of the links simply because I don't want certain twitter users to get page hits.

Not really sure, i guess. People post a bunch of stuff from Twitter & i have to allow it in NoScript to see it. I'm not a Twitter follower but now that you say that it might just be media.

Try posting a tweet using the "Media" tag here & see what happens?

Twitter and anandtech are permitted in noscript here but ublock origin may be blocking something needed. Twitter is set as trusted though.

I don't use twitter so not entirely sure how to embed anything. The first is just the link and the 2nd is using media tags. Neither are working for me.

I only see two links. What do you have set as trusted in noscript? If I set everything to temp trusted and turn off ublock origin I still see the same thing. Same thing if they are completely disabled.

On this site i temporarily allow:
Code:
anandtech.com
twitter.com
Without allowing either one i only see the 2 links.

Thanks. I also have those set as trusted although anandtech is set to custom. That shouldn't matter since I get the same results when noscript is disabled.

Perhaps it's one of my browser's settings-options-security settings. I have 3rd party cookies, tracking and fingerprinters blocked and do not track is on. I also block all Deceptive Content and Dangerous Software Protection. I wouldn't think any of those would matter but I've seen a couple of sites that won't function correctly without 3rd party cookies.

Update: I think embedded tweets may be blocked by Firefox's 'tracking' option. In settings I have to go to 'privacy and security' and switch a ticked 'Tracking content' to 'Only in private Windows' (assuming you aren't using a private window) or untick the 'Tracking content box' to view tweets and not just a link.

I wonder if there is a workaround since allowing a tracker isn't worth it just to view a embedded tweet
