I scanned using Adaware SE freeware and It found 8 "WORMS" in my /windows32/ folder. I proptly allowed Adaware to repair and delete the worms not thinking about what I might be deleting. Now my wireless network barely works and when I press Ctrl - ALt - Del nothing happens!

If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S. I know the simple answer would be to do fresh XP install, but that will be a last resort

You could try reinstalling Service Pack 2. That has helped fix a bunch of bizarre problems associated with worms/virus'

Did you "delete" the suspected files, or just quarantine them? I believe, by default, Ad-Aware quarantines. Unless you manually erased the quarantine file (or have it setup to automatically delete), you should be able to recover all the files.

EDIT: If you did, in fact, erase the files you could always try doing a Windows Sytem Repair (instead of a fresh install).

Adaware keeps backups of things you delete, you could see i fyou can restore them.
Open up Adaware, in the Usage Statistics box will be the quarantee list. Click on that and see if your last run was there.
