Here at CES 2020, the company unveiled the XPG Sage, an upcoming PCIe Gen 4 SSD that promises read and write speeds of over 7,000 and 6,000 MBps, along with 1 million / 800K IOPS read and writes. Due out later this year for an undetermined price, the Sage is among the first to use Innogrit's Rainier controller.

NVMe really began leaving SATA SSDs in the dust a while back, but the large increase in NVMe speeds every year is pretty impressive.

Yeah it seems like finally we'll get a controller that can leverage PCIe 4.0 properly, good stuff!

edit: and 4TB M.2 for consumer aswell.

I'm about to be piecing a build together; I've got many parts delivered, already. I can find info for the Samsung 980 Pro's launch date of Jan 21 which is 6500MB/s read, which I'm considering to wait for before installing software.

Is there anything more concrete for a launch date other than "later this year" for this ADATA drive?

All I've seen about that so far is what the rep said at the bottom of the preview article of:
A rep did say that we should expect to see the Sage sometime later this year, perhaps around the Computex (May / June) time frame.
