Just tried the Adaptive Anti-Aliasing on my vid card in HL2 and looks really nice with it turned on. I checked with both it on and off and there is noticeable difference. The difference in fences, trees, and grass is very noticeable.
Takes about a 5-10fps performance hit I think at 1280x1024.

I used the Omega 5.9 Cats WITHOUT Catalyst Control Center. I downloaded the latest version of AtiTray Tools and once I had changed the registry values and restarted AtiTray tools, a new option turned up in the anti-aliasing settings.
