Adapthost (Jim) anyone else having problems?

That is the error I get when I try to go to my site. I contacted adapthost but they have not replied yet. And I talked to SMF (the forum support people) and they say call your host.

How long ago did you contact adapthost?

Did you send an email or submit a ticket via helpdesk?

I send them an email 2 hours ago and I submit a ticket through the helpdesk.

Here's the problem I went to change my password in the settings.php and but first I CHMOD the file to 777 but when I hit "save" I got that this error:

This is making me sick to my stomach. That site has been so important to me and to others.

No I understand that, I just want to know if it's a host problem or something I did to screw it up. The site has become very important to me and others.

You are the one who turned me on to SMF any ideas what the problem is?

Unfortunately I think it's user error, I wish I knew how to fix it.

I was changing the forum password. that's all. Let me ask you this I have a .sql backup can I reinstall everything with just that one file?

 
They are moving stuff around especially if you are on Nero... that's what jim told me earlier tonight..
for a few hours the dns will be kinda screwy.. but it shoudl get back.. they sent an email out last week.

I wonder if this still aplies? I get an "500 Internal Server Error" now.

yeah i got this error too. all of the files i uploaded the other day vanished. hopefully the data will get restored soon.
 
I waited a few days to see if my problems would clear up. But, I still can't access my forums, or the picture gallery. But, the home page works fine, but then I get the "page not found" on the pics and forums.... I did try and re-install them, but it wouldn't allow me. Kept giving me warnings, that certain files were not installed. Guess I will try a help ticket.....

PS seems this might be a domain problem. I tried to change a few things on the home page, re-ftp'd it, and the changes didn't work. Logging into and looking at cPanel, and looking at the website itself, are looking at 2 different sites. Does this make sense?
 
Now he is terminating all the accounts? I mean, i understand they were free, by why offer them in the first place if you are just going to terminate them all in a couple months, with no offers to continue service for a fee. I expected to be offered a decent fee (or any fee really) to continue service once the "free period" ran out. That pisses me off.

Guess I won't host with another ATer again. I'll just bite the bullet and go with the big name companies, as I won't have to move my site every two months.
 
What? ah man this sucks. I am willing to pay but I sent him a PM one day about buying a host package but he never replied.
 
Mine's okay, but we'll have to find a new server, as they're terminating our accounts. ROSSMAN!!!! Where's a good place to host?????????????

Yeah I got that yesterday too. Thing is I got in on that free 1and1 deal a while back, but when this came around, I cancelled that and moved over. Now it's getting axed. Poo.

Well, if have the means to host over 150 free accounts on a Dual 3.2GHz Xeon server @ The Planet, please feel free to do so. Some people have contacted me about the accounts and we made provisions for them.

Just keep on bitching about getting something free:roll:

Boy, I am really glad I could help out...


PS...No one is "screwed" ...we are giving you 30 days to find another server. If this is not possible, just let us know. We will help out if we can.

It's not like our hard drives died and we lost all your data and had no backups...
