Adapter for DVI LCD Monitor

Can I run the component out from my DVD player or Satellite dish directly into a 17" DVI LCD monitor with an adapter?? If so, recommend an adapter please 🙂

Buy a monitor that has component-input. Otherwise, no way. You'd have to buy an HDTV LCD TV that has those inputs, and take care it has a VGA or DVI input for your computer.
 
These aren't adapters, these are converters - they are sampling the input signal, buffer it, and regenerate a different output signal from that. This doesn't do much good to signal quality.
