Adaptec v4.02 doesn't recognize my LiteOn 16x CDRW!

Anyone know how to solve this problem? I downloaded the latest update from adaptec's web site.. and updated my v4 to v4.02.. but still doesn't work. Can anyone help? Says that there is no CDR detected.. thx

Aren't they well past 403 for ver 4? Try that.

Try updating to 4.05

I'm running that version now for my Sony 16X/10X/40X drive... No version below 4.05 will recognize it..

adaptec easy cd creator has become really bloated. its VERY unstable and is more likely to crash your system than work (which is pretty hard to do on win2k or winxp). avoid at all costs. just look at the number of patches they have released. nero is much better.

I will attest that NERO is a much better burning rom compared to Adaptec EZCoaster. However, not everyone is willing to spend ~30+ dollars on different software. The most logical solution is to try and "fix" your issue, not replace it.

I do hve an older version of NERO.. and will try that. As for updating my adaptec, where can I find that v4.05 update? I searched aropund and can only find up to v4.02. Thanks in advance guys..

You have to go to Roxio's website now, since Roxio and Adaptec have split up. Make sure you have registered software otherwise you can't download the updates.
