Adaptec SoundStream & CD-R Question...

I've been trying to copy my music (WAV) files to a single disk, like all my favorite songs on one disk. I'm using Adaptecs SoundStream. Though I have a problem, every time I try to copy a list of songs a message will pop up stating "Disk is closed"? I can't understand why the disk would be closed, it's a new disk, I've used 4 others all which are new, and I get the same message every time.

Does anyone know why? Are some brands sold closed (TDK)?

Hmmnnn ... if you don't get a satisfactory answer here you should post on UseNet (Deja.com etc ...) in the alt.comp.periph.cdr (or something like that) newsgroup. Some pretty knowledgeable people there. Good luck.

IMO, I don't think it's the media. The only thing that I can think of is that if you are trying to write to a disk that you've written before but you've checked off the "finalize writing" option available in Nero during a previous write session then basically the program closes the cdr for any further writing even though you may have lots of space left.

What program are you using anyways?

I'm using Adaptec's SoundStream, and all the disk I've been trying to use are new, never been used or opened so I don't understand why it's saying it's closed. Thanks, I'll try them other sites.
