Adaptec software with Iomega 12x/10x/32x burner

The version of Adaptec's EZCD Creator that came with my Iomega recorder is version4.02d. It installs OK and works, but I am unable to update to version 4.03 using the update download from Adaptec/Roxio's site. It begins the update and near the end, says update failed, reinstall the software. Reinstalling has no effect. DirectCD updated to the latest version with no problem. My system is simple -- the Iomega is the master and the only device on the secondary IDE channelon a BE6 II MB.

Have any of you been successful in updating the Iomega/Adaptec version of EZCD Creator to version 4.03? If so did you have problems and how did you get it to upgrade if you did?

Windows 95 OSR2.1

If you have uninstalled the EZ CD Creator did you notice how long the uninstall takes? My hard drive clicked away for over ten minutes -- I thought something was surely wrong the first time I did it -- before the box saying uninstall completed came up.
