Adaptec SCSI RAID problems... Any ideas?

Ok... so I'm having some very strange problems, and I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on my little dilema. Ok, here goes. I have an Athlon 64 3200+ on a Gigabyte K8VNXP (K8T800 chipset) mobo. I started out using an adaptec 29160N SCSI controller and 2-10,000 RPM U160 drives. Everything worked great! Very fast and no problems. After a couple of months, I finally have my 2-15,000 RPM drives and an Adaptec 2110S SCSI RAID card. I pull the 29160 out, and put the 2110 in with the new drives and install XP. No problems so far. XP is all loaded up, and this thing is SCREAMING fast! I install call of duty, and it plays beautifully. I download the latest soundblaster audigy drivers to install, and... wtf? Says there is no creative hardware installed! I look in device manager, and it's there... no conflicts or anything evident. Strange. So I go to play a video in Windows media player... and it locks up! Tried updating media player... same thing. I go to plat Rise of Nations... completely locks the system. So I'm thinking the creative card is having issues, and pull it out and switch on the onboard sound. Works fine, and my rear speakers work again. The problems with media player and Rise of Nations remain. I have since tried rebuilding this system 4 times, with the exact same things happening every time. I've tried different drivers, stripe sizes, (RAID 0, by the way) with no luck. Latest bios on mobo and raid card. Anyone have any input? I really want this to work... but if I can't figure it out soon, I'm gonna have to sell this off and go with something else. Any ideas of things to try? Thanks!

Nobody with any thoughts? I'm going to try the array in my dual proc box tonight to rule out hardware incompatibility...

Honestly I didn't read, no offense.

Break it up into four or more paragraphs. I'll catch it during my next rounds. :)

Well, I finally narrowed it down to my audigy platinum sound card. I pulled it out and turned on the onboard sound, and all is working great now! So I guess I'll be kissing the audigy goodbye. I've come to dislike creative a great deal lately! And recommendations on a sound card with front panel 1/4" input and headphone output? :)
