I just installed the 3950U2D scsi adaptor in my BF-6 board. http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/suppdetail.html?prodkey=AHA-3950U2
The card shows up in Award bios post as taking IRQ 11 twice. Once for each channel. The bios post for scsi adaptor comes up fine showing my HD at Ultra2 at 80 mbs. The problems start in Win98. The adaptor shows up in Control panel under scsi devices as 2 scsi devices(1 for each channel I assume). Both show a yellow exclamation mark.
I get a code 31 at both (IRQ holder for PCI Steering is not working properly). When I check their Properties it says(Windows could not load the device driver for this device because the computer is reporting two ISAPNP.vxd bus types ,Code2. Contact your computer manufacturer for an updated bios )
I have the latest bios for the BF-6 installed. So I'm not sure if there is a workaround for this. If anyone has idea's let me know please. The card is not sharing IRQ's with any other device so I don't know what else to do.
Thanks in advance.
