Adaptec 2920 scsi card any good?

A friend is offering me a spot in on a group buy of these cards. Its a Adaptec 2920A pci card. Apparently the chips on these card aren't adaptec chipsets, but rather another company that they bought out. Then after a few months, they switched to adaptec chips and renamed it 2920C.

Anyone have a 2920a board? Is it any good?
