Adaptec 29160 or 29160N?

Well, I am looking into getting a RAID setup using a plextor 12/10/32s, Toshiba 12/40 scsi dvdrom....I just wanted to know what was the difference between the adaptec 29160 and the adaptec 29160N? and which one should I get? I am going to be using it on an abit kt7 raid mobo.

To run those CD devices? Neither. Look for something cheaper. You don't need an Ultra 160 to run either. Nor do you need something with that much oomph for those, NOR would notice.

Now, with that said, unless you just want a kick-ass host adaptor for future expandibility then stick with something more suited to the task. Personally I'd get the 29160N. Mostly cause that's what I have, but I also run twin Seagate Barracuda 18.3GB Ultra 160 drives off it as well.
