I'm sick of logging onto TS to add / change / etc users and such directly on the DC. Can I install AD U&C on my workstation to do this?

Yes? How?
NO? Okay.

Sorry a bit batty today.

Thanks!

Yes, you need to install some administartive toolkit. I believe I got it off of the Windows 2003 server CD in the i38 folder. Wish I had more details for ya

If you find it, can you let me know the filename? I've had to install these tools several times and everytime I forget to write down the instructions on how to find it 🙂. Knowing the filename would help me out.

It's an EXE , but I can recall the rest of the file name. hope you find it!

It's the adminpak.msi on the 2003 server cd in the i386 directory.

Hehe, I was totally wrong about the .exe thing 😱
If you download it off microsoft's website it's adminpak.exe (a self executing zip that expands to adminpak.msi and a readme).

I have never been able to find it on the MS site, but that's a good thing to know! My orginial post
was about the .msi.

It's also in the system32 directory of every server, so if you don't have a CD handy you can just run it from there.
