Ad hoc woes

So I've set up an ad hoc connection, with internet sharing enabled. This is on Vista. However, when I take another computer and attempt to connect to the ad hoc I've set up, it connects properly, but no internet signal is received. That is, it connects fine, and the signal is 100%. But internet still doesn't work.

The ad hoc server is using a PPPoE connection.

What could be the problem?

Edit: The computer connected to the ad hoc assigns itself a 169.x.x.x IP address. Dunno if this is relevant or not.

The address 169.***.***.*** is refered to as the APIPA. It is MS way of saying it attempted to find a DHCP server but ain't found one.

One probable solution for the problem is to setup ICS(Internet Connection Sharing), assuming that the first computer uses a newer MS based OS(Win98 and younger).
