Ad blocker for Microsoft Edge?

I'm due to get gigabit internet come October, if sonic.net is on time and I sign up. Meantime I'm stuck with ~5mb DSL through them. My Youtube videos are pretty nasty mostly, jerky, halting, spinning wheels, that kind of thing. That's using Firefox or Pale Moon browsers, but I'm finding that MS Edge does a lot better with these videos for some readon (Windows 10 machines, 64bit and 32bit), both laptops, but one outputting to 23" monitor).

I have adblockers installed for Firefox and Pale Moon but in Edge I have to endure ads before the videos play and I can't stand them. Is there an adblocker I can install into Edge so I can watch Youtube videos without commercials? I can't stand commercials, well most of them. TIA for ideas.

I installed AdBlock and it seems to do what I need for blocking ads at the beginning of YouTube videos in Edge. It's free.

So far, Adblock seems to be blocking those Youtube ads. I'm really up in the air what browser I want to have as default. Chrome (never used), Firefox, Pale Moon, Edge. I'm using Opera on my two XP machines. It was supposed to still have security for XP when installed, not sure now.

I use ABP across all browsers now, but i believe the Edge version is still in beta or semi-beta. It works great though, except you might occasionally run into sites that detect you are using it and ask to whitelist. That's really the only downside to using it but you can typically just ignore the pleas for allowing ads on sites.

uBlock Origin is available in the MS Store. You click Get It and it installs into Edge.

yeah, I hate those pleas. I've complied several times because I wanted to see the info, but I think I'll just cancel any site that requires my seeing their ads. Screw that. I didn't sign up for that, I'm not taking it.
