Ad Aware V. Pest Patrol

I've used Ad Aware in the past but I'm wary of upgrading to 6 because I've read a lot of bad reviews from people who use it. I was looking for an alternative and came across Pest Patrol and it looks pretty good. Anyone here used it and have any opinons on it? How does it compare in reality to Ad Aware?

Alot of people like SpyBot also.

I use Ad-aware 6 and don't have any major problems with it. The other good one I've heard about and used a little is Spybot.

I tried SpyBot a couple of times. Wasn't impressed with it. First time I ran it the program locked up. Second time I ran it the program it crashed. Gave up on it after that.

its beta, but its way better, Spybot S&D all the way.

Ad-aware 6 is great. Don't be afraid to use it. It is updated often too.

Put me on the pro Ad-Aware 6 also...program is a little more involving while setting it up than 5 was, but once properly set, it works great.

I also use Spy-bot S&D and combine it with Ad-Aware6. No problems with either. I find that those who cry foul about newer software, usually do so because they dont take the proper amount of time to set it up correctly.
