Ad-Aware problems

i made this thread to find some info and also let other people know about the problem

it has happened to me (only once) and it did it again on this other computer i scanned

Ad-Aware is a GREAT program, but when i scanned this latest computer it came up with 2099 things of spyware, then after deleteing it all (i turned quarentine off like an idiot, lesson is keep quarentine on when scanning for hte 1st time then turn it off if oyu want after you know everything is working right) the internet didn't work, it detected a connection but i think it may have messed with the software, her ISP is comcast and i also have comcast and had the same problem when i scanned a while ago, i also know that the comcast CD installed a prog called broad jump and it acts kind of like spyware but doesn't seem to be picked up, (i deleted that off my computer no problem.)

but enough of my rambling, bottom line is- is there a way to fix it with out the CD from the ISP?

let me know if you need more details, or if i need to clear things up a little.

thanks

2099!!!??? Good lord, man.

Adaware shouldn't be deleting connections, and I doubt it is. In fact, you don't need to install ANYTHING from your ISP to have your connection working! Falacy numero uno.

thank you everyone, have you had much luck with it?

the computer is at a friends house right now, so ill give it a try later tonight

but after haveing this experience i suggest that EVERYONE keep the quarentine feature on at all costs, then (if they want) disable it when you know everything is working

(would that even have benefited me?... the keeping that one feature on?)
