Ad-Aware keeps finding Cy-Door. Where does Cy-Door come from?

How does Cy-Door keep getting on my system?

I'm getting a little irritated. Who are they anyway, and what do they monitor on my system?

Do you regularly use some utility that connects to the internet like FlashGet? When I used Flashget, I noticed that Ad-Aware kept finding spyware. Flashget would reinstall it after I removed it.

some companies wont let you delete it and if you do, it makes their software not work. More often, they have the program just re-issue the file.

I don't know what flash-get is, so I don't think I use it.

And I use Kazaa lite, which I've never updated when it asks. I might uninstall it and DL the latest Kazaa lite and see what happens.

😕

if im correct cy-dor are the people that make spybot destroyer, another antispyware program... and they say in their readme that ad aware may think spyboty is spyware or a virus but it isnt, if u run both then dont owrry about it, if not then something is screwy

Are you talking about Spybot-S&D? If so, they are not the same company. The readme says that ad-aware may catch a file in spybotsd's directory since Spybot-S&D saves backups of the problems it has fixed; to make it possible to recover them in case something stops working after the fix.

I too had this problem and read in the ad-aware forums that the recommendation is to use latest build which is 162 that fixes the problem,it did for me.
btw I forgot to say there was a bug in the 158 build (that I was using) and the cydoor problem is fixed in the latest build.
