The biggest news here is that after months of hype and buzz, concept cars, and one of nissan's signature oversize engines (motto: "only detroit can get less power per liter than us!"), they still can't beat the performance of the already available RL. Car and Driver drove their RL to 60 in 6.7 seconds. once again, honda matches or beats nissan at their own game (the "performance" choice of the big 3), and does it with less displacement. and if history repeats itself, we can expect the M45 to be quite a whale on the scale. after all, nissan did require 618 more pounds and nearly double the engine to squeeze squeeze S2000-level performance out of their own roadster.
people may say the RL looks like the accord (true), but M45 just looks like a bloated maxima. at least the RL gets its pedigree from a car that isn't butt-ugly to start with.
