- Year: 2008
- Make: Acura
- Model: RDX
- Mileage: ~40,000

In our Acura Rdx when you apply the parking brake (located in the footwell) and there is a slight incline or if large people get in or out of the car the car rocks...
In my 2004 Honda Civic LX Coupe it doesnt move at all once the parking brake has been applied

Its a bit of a hassle to get the car worked on because i have to drive 30 mins away to a dealer that i like to work with (Iv had problems with the one closer) or i would have just taken it in

Thanks

It is normal for the suspension to load up differently when the vehicle is actually being held in place by the parking brake. If the truck isn't actually rolling, then what you are feeling is the vehicle transitioning from having all four wheels held fast to just the rear two, which causes the suspension to load differently. This is similar to what happens if you have the brake applied and try to drive forwards, the vehicle will shift a little on its suspension without actually moving (assuming that you don't apply so much power that you overload the brake).
