ActiveX Excel formatting (SQL Server DTS)?

Anybody have any good info on this (tutorials, etc?) I need to write an ActiveX script that will format an Excel document generated in a SQL Server 2000 DTS package. Just some basic coloring, merging of cells, and font changes, nothing too crazy... the only difficult part is that the data in the workbook will be dynamic, and as a result I can't just manually make a pre-generated format.
