ActiveX error message

Each time I get on certain websites such as AnandTech, I get a message that reads:

This page provides potentially unsafe information to an ActiveX control. YOur current security settings prohibit running controls in this matter. As a result, this page may not display correctly.

I don't care what ActiveX does or does not. All I want is to get rid of this message. I didn't change anything. I have been using Windoes 2000, Office 2000, nVidia chipset driver, nVidia video driver, Nero OEM, Acronis True Image, Winzip, PC-cillin. That's about it. Thanks.

In Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options and go to the Security tab. Ensure that the Internet Zone isn't set to High or something. You can click the Default Level button if you want to restore default settings. See if that gets it handled.

PC-cillin is big on scanning of Java Applets and Active X controls on Web pages. Sometimes it might detect some files with non-standard strings are viruses when they are not. Do you have PC-cillin latest version?

I wouldn't recommend running more than one Anti-Virus program. You could try Grisoft's AVG Free Edition instead of PC-cillin and see if it makes any difference.
