Activesync and Cassiopeia

I have a Cassiopeia E-125 and I just can't get the thing to connect anymore. For the first 6 months, everything was fine. I started off with Active Sync 3.5, and there were no problems. Then all of a sudden, it wouldn't recognize the connection. Then for a while, it would recognize it if I followed the right steps in the right order, i.e. resetting PDA, restarting machine, eventually reinstalling Activesync. After that, for a few weeks, it would recognize it if I begged, hopped on one foot, drank the blood of a live chicken, and sacrificed 50 virgins. Now it won't recognize it at all. I've tried everything from every different website suggestion that I could find. I've restarted the computer, done a reset on the PDA, reinstalled Active Sync (3.1, 3.5, and 3.6) and nothing I do will make it recognize the device. It just shows up as an "Unknown USB Device." I have all of the "necessary" files - wceusbsh.sys, wceusbsh.inf, etc., I'm not using a hub, I'm running Windows 2000, and it was working in the first place. Anybody have any ideas?
