I'm gettin 2 sticks of pc3200 w/o heatspreaders. Will thermaltakes active ram cooling help at all when it comes to overclocking/upping CL? I know heatspreaders themselves do nothing, just wondering if the fan does anything/is worth installing.

Edit:
Also which is more effective at cooling the northbridge?
Crystal Orb, Zalman passive heatsink, or Vantec chipset cooling bundle

Unless you're planning to overclock or adjust the timings significantly, active cooling with a fan is far from necessary. Heat spreaders may help, but there's not much sense in buying them till you know if you need them. If you're increasing voltage to reach really high overclocks, then you may want to start out with the heatspreaders.
