active memory cooling!

I recently saw a few pics of some very interesting and cheap active memory cooling solutions. One of the ways was to attach 1-2 80mm fans ontop of the dimms with some rubber bands!

But im wondering, fans usually have a small magnetic (charge? field?) around them... will a fan sitting directly ontop of the dimms be bad for the memory? Will it affect the capacitors in the memory?
