Who else has heard the 3 demo leaks, "I.R.S", "There Was A Time" and 2 minutes and 6 seconds of "Better". I think they are excellent for demos. Howard Stern played "I.R.S" on his show yesterday and scattered radio stations are playing the demos on the air. I have the 3 of them in .mp3 format as well.

I.R.S is pretty good. Are they still even planning releasing an album? Who exactly is in the band besides Axl right now (I know Izzy, Duff and Slash are gone).

Ahhh, Axl Rose, reminds me of November Rain and Don't Cry back in high school and failing miserably at asking girls out. Kids today have their emo music, I had GnR. Anyways, IRS isn't too bad, good beat. I like how it goes slow, fast, and then slow again and then the guitar takes over. I'm on a 3 Door Down/Foo Fighters mood so a little GnR would fit in perfectly.

Meh. Sounds way overproduced to me.

A mere shadow of the older stuff...then again, Axl is the only original member and mostly all he did was write lyrics, not the actual music. A few exceptions, but Izzy and Slash wrote all the good licks.

Aye, the only reason I listen to GnR is because of Slash, whose playing I really like. I've never cared for the lyrics or Axl's voice.

its not bad, keeps the old sound pretty well, not the repetative sounds of most rock now a days...in that sense I give it a

I assume these are the same "new" songs they (axl, buckethead & co) played on the 2003 tour?

No, these are leaks of demos from 2003. They never played these songs live.

I'd have to disagree...this sounds nothing like GnR ever did before. Starts off with almost an electronic feel to it.

The songs have a "UYI-type" feel to 'em IMO 🙂

I think all 3 show potential, but need some work to make them songs you'd really want to listen to. But, they are only demos, so there's hope.
