I used a Weekly Producers stats thread from April 2004 and compared that with todays Active Folders from kakaostats.com. I used the order from the old stats thread.

These 45 have stuck with it (or come back)

They had 190 active members that week (up from 141 the previous week) and produced 77,457.91 points!

The Top Producer, osage, had 6,875 points for the week.

That was my first full week and I had 259.9 points :D

EDIT: Sorry for any errors and where is Insidious?

EDIT2: I see him in the following weeks thread!

So I'll just join you in thanks to the vets! You guys are awsome!

LOL

I've been folding since Jan/Feb 2003 for 198 (its the reason I joined the forums here), I think... there was a period in 2004 where I was inactive for about 6 months, due to work commitements. I just had a really slow pc that took AGES to complete WU's.

Gleem. According to EOC stats, I have been at this since 07.06.04, and am now at number 2 position, so I guess I just missed this list.

Sorry Slider76! I just got to thinking about who was not on this list and came to edit you in and, alas, find your post :shucks;

I only used the one week but probably needed to use at least two or three to get a more accurate list.

Some of the WUs back then were small, but some of them were very big for a computer of those days and could take weeks for a slower part-time rig to finish!!!

Maybe better would have been a list of old-timers who are missed :( but the porch light is still on for :)
I see MechEng starting back up :D

Its pretty impressive to see around a quarter of our folders have been here that long... especially considering how many we've gained due to exposure from the GPU, PS3 and SMP clients.

Well done guys :)

Gleem, haha tis okay, i wasn't tring to make a big deal of it, it just must have been one of my inactive periods. I've never been a big producer. just quietly crunching away in the back ground. its taken me almost 5 years to reach 125,000 points! If the turtle is meant to win the race then I have a long way to go, or i must find a slower rabbit!

Hmm, I'm not showing-up on either of those stats, but I'm still "50-day" active, and closing-in on wu-#150 :p

Doing a little digging, my apparently 1st. FAH-result was returned 21.05.2002, so will hit 6 years "soon".

BTW, a little digging also un-earthed this from 10.02.2001:
Folding: Faster wu than seti, no caching of wu, others can't continue on the branch you downloaded wu to before result is back therefore limited. Less stable server/client than seti. Last version works with multi-cpu. Only win32/linux/solaris.
The "faster wu than seti" has changed since 2001 atleast, and Solaris-support has been dropped...

I did this as anonymous for a while before I joined a team. There might be a few clients out there still folding that I set up doing anon work.

I can recall racing RustyNale for 12th place many years ago. I sort of lost interest last year when my divorce began but my interest is renewed. I will most likely get passed by Mark and Murph but hopefully not before I can reach the 5 million point mark.

The advent of SMP and the ATI graphics client have made the racing interesting. I wish it were a bit less complex. I have to put my geek hat on and upgrade my farm to be a player again.

Keep folding,

Gravity
