Whenever I log onto the local admin machine, a I get a message saying "Internet Explorer could not find the Active Desktop HTML file. To turn off Active Desktop Click OK".
We have active desktop on all of our machines so that users are not able to change their background and so they use the one we want. 🙂
This has worked for months.
Now all the machines we last did an install of (same settings on all of them) are coming up with this message whenever the local admin logs on. If a user logs onto the domain, this error does not come up.
I have tried turning off/disabling each settings in Group Policy Editor with regards to Active desktop. Since this is just the admin account, no real harm has been done. But should we worry about it?
