Called to activate my win-xp, over the phone, yep, i called India, got a guy named Manesh this time and not "Bob"...haha...
but on a more serious note, their server crashed that validates your product key.
I really held back from saying something along the lines of, "was it a blue screen?"

Besides saving, money, what was Bill thinking going to India for tech support and the rest of the phone services. Or was he just following Dell's footsteps?
I hate calling them now. Not that I enjoyed calling them before, but it's such a pain now.

do you have any idea of the difference in labor costs here versus there? You can hire 3 decent engineers for the price of one low paid tech here. It's called business, and it's a balance of cost/return. If you cut your costs in half, but call backs triple, it's not feasable, but if you cut them in half for a 20% gain in callbacks, you are more profitable. Believe it or not, MS doesn't make SW/OS for kicks, they make it to make money 😉
