Activation issues

I seem to be haveing a unforeseen activation issues with windows. I have reinstalled once to fix a driver issue and have a clean install and now recently a need reinstall for a HD change. This time when i went to Regester with the same name adress and email that i have used the past i get a deny message saying i have activated to many times and i need to put in another Key code or if you think this is a error contacted yaddaaaayaddayada. Did i not read the fine print? or do i just need to call support and they will work it out for me? I always hear you should do a reinstall just about every year i gess with this in mind i wasn't expecting this to happen.. Whats my nexted step hope its hot to Harsh. Thanks save the noob =)

I have never my copy of Windows, ever. I don't see why you have to keep doing it. If it asks you to activate then that's an entirely different story.

Choose the option to activate by phone and call 1-888-571-2048

i will try the phone number. I called them about the issue and sence its OEM they provide no support and will not help me with the issue. yea its to activate.

MS is the only place that can help you ... the company that sold you the OEM version of XP has no way
of changing or giving you a new Activation Code .. call them back, tell them it is the same computer as the
Original & you had to replace a failed component that is requiring reactivation ... They will do it

Just so everyone knows, I believe the activation itself resets every 6 months, so you're able to make drastic changes a certain number of times - and once it asks you to use a different number... you wait 6 months and then you'll get your code to work again.

Or you can just call them and tell them that you changed your hardware/reinstalled and to give you more activations. But if you don't ever call them, you'd need to wait 6 months once you get the error.
