Activating power supply without motherboard

How can I turn on an ATX power supply without connecting it to the MB? I guess it's just a case of shorting a couple of the connectors or something . . .

No it won't.

Anyway - I've found out now. Pin 14 needs to be tied down to ground. On mine it's they grey wire next to the three black wires, but the spec sheet I looked at said it's normally a green wire.

Hope this helped someone else as well!

Sent you an e-mail with everything I know about PS's, including how to "start" on outside the case.

BE CAREFULL !! 🙂
