Act of War (Direct Action, High Treason) w/64-bit Windows 7

Does anyone have these two games via Steam, and has gotten them working in 64-bit Windows 7?

I had them both running a while back, maybe a year or so ago when I first bought them, but just for grins I tried firing them up last night, and had no luck whatsoever -- not sure what's changed since then (driver / OS update?).

Tried all of the claimed fixes that have apparently worked for some people (patched d3d9.dll file, XP SP3 and/or Vista SP1 compatibility mode for game executables, limiting the OS to one CPU core and 2Gb or RAM via msconfig, etc.), but nothing works.

Most games unsupported on W7 I can get working with a few tweaks, but these two have been really stubborn.

Not sure what the issue was last night. Got them both working again.

In case anyone cares (same steps for both):

-- disabled data execution prevention (DEP) for game executables
-- added to game directory (and unblocked in file properties) tomsons26's d3d9.dll patch from moddb.com
-- for all game executables, including EugLoadingBar for High Treason, set compatibility to XP SP3 and run as Administrator

Both games launch and run correctly now.
