Acrylic/Plastic cases and EM interference

I am thinking of buying one of the acryllic cases from www.designcomp.com, but I'm wondering if I need the EM shielding I would get from a metal case. I'll likely put the case next to my monitor, and I don't want any visual distortion. Would a pair of 700-1000 MHz CPU's cause a problem?

Handbrake, I've heard that it is not really a problem. E-mail Andrew over there he is quite helpful at answering questions and helping you to configure it all perfectly. He's also known as Techru on these boards, so you could try PM'ing him. Hope this helps, later....

In my experience, electric motors (fans, drives, and speakers - yes speakers qualify as a motor) are the biggest causes of interference on a monitor by physical proximity...you may want to experiment a bit by powering up a fan and placing it right next to your monitor...also, do it yourself shielding is easy to accomplish with a little sheet metal if needed.
