Acronis True Image Home 2011 discount

I've used Acronis since version 7. It was great until V10. The past 2-3 versions have been just overblown crap.

I had to upgrade and get the plus package to get compatibility with Windows 7 then with GPT drives.

Thanks, been looking for a discount on this so I registered. If I'm understanding this correctly you are committing yourself to buy but I will do so if the price drops to $25.

i would use all my email's...but don't know if it's worth the 6 cent savings...also i'm sure it's against rules and I would hate to break/bend the rules.

i got acronis home 2010 last year....$40 with a $40 rebate, so i essentially just was out the tax

good software...but if you already have something id just keep my eyes out for another steal like that.

They had some free backup software on giveawayoftheday.com not too long ago.

They do that quite frequently but I've always been concerned that if the computer crashes you can no longer use that "free" software without reinstalling it and paying for it.

I tried Acronis in the past and was happy with it, would like to use it as my new backup solution. Seems more flexible than the standard Windows backup or the freebies you get with external hard drives.

Why don't they just sell it for 25 bucks instead of this bs.
Do people that participate able to purchase it at the discounted price ?

Yeah that Newegg deal is a lot better...but reviews are all over the place. i mainly want this for cloning and several users report problems with that feature. Anyone here used 2011 for that?

Haven't used 2011 yet, but 2010 has been rock solid. I've been using Acronis since back when it was shareware. The program has never let me down yet.

Great find KGod. You should post more often!

Thanks! It's funny that I've been a member of Anandtech longer than the other deal forums, where I do participate often, but I just haven't here. Scratching my head, there's no good reason, but I guess I'll have to change that!
