Version 11.0 been working fine for months...I hear there were problems with version 12.0 though.

I highly recommend this program.. It's one of the few pieces of software worth paying for in my opinion. The freeware imaging programs aren't nearly as intuitive or reliable.

If any of you don't plan on using advanced features for imaging your computer, Macrium Reflect has a free edition and so does Paragon. Not sure which is better, I think Paragon might offer more features in their free edition but I'm not sure. Either one would be better then the built it one that comes with the higher versions of windows vista and 7.

Here is a link that shows the features the free Paragon edition has. It looks like it has more then the free editition of reflect.

Remember too that the free Maxtor Maxblast (and I think the Seagate equivalent) are Acronis True Image rebadged and slightly crippled. As I recall the major cripple is the inability to do incremental backups-which is a big deal to me.

Acronis True Image is a great program, hopefully they stay away from bloatware.

I actually used Paragon Drive Backup v9 for the first time yesterday to image a new Win7 laptop. I was impressed and backing up to DVD worked well.

The interface isn't as streamlined as Acronis, but it got the job done.
